Simple Cooked Quinoa

Quinoa is a favorite in our house.  It is a grain very rich in amino acids (protein) that has a fluffy, creamy and slightly nutty flavor when cooked.  Quinoa can be used in place of rice or potatoes in most hotdishes and also as a great side with almost any kind of meat or fish.

Although not a common item in most kitchens today, quinoa is an amino acid-rich (protein) seed that has a fluffy, creamy, slightly crunchy texture and a somewhat nutty flavor when cooked.

Simple Cooked Quinoa

1c water
1 tsp olive oil
2 tsp tuscan sun seasoning
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp parsley
1c quinoa
