Fat Free Banana Bread

Fat Free Banana Bread

1/2c applesauce
3/4c sugar (or 1/2c coconut sugar)
1/2c egg beaters
2c whole wheat flour
1tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 tblsp milk
1/4 tsp lemon juice
3 ripe bananas, mashed

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a large bowl, mix the applesauce, egg beaters and sugar until fully blended.  Add dry ingredients, flour, baking powder, baking soda & salt.  Mix thoroughly.  Add milk, lemon juice and mashed bananas.  Pour batter into well greased bread pan.  Bake for 50-60 minutes are until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.

Serving: 1 slice (14 slices per loaf)  134cal  0g fat   0g chol   23g carbs   3g fiber   
7g sugar   1g protein

  1. I made this bread today and it came out great. I used white whole wheat organic flour and added 3/4 of a cup of blueberries. I used 1/2 cup of brown sugar instead of the white sugar the recipe calls for. I also drained the unsweetened applesauce before adding it to the recipe. Awesome recipe!
