Remix Garlic Breadsticks

Remix Garlic Breadsticks

2 tblsp olive oil
1 tblsp unsalted butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp salt
1 loaf whole grain bread or baguette
1/4c fresh parsley, chopped (or dried parsley)

Preheat oven to350 degrees.  In a small pan, combine the oil, butter, garlic and salt over medium-low heat until the butter is melted.  Cut the bread into 1/2" thick slices and then crosswise into breadsticks.  Brush each breadstick with the garlic-infused mixture, sprinkle with the parsley and place on a baking sheet.  Bake until the edges are golden brown, about 20 minutes.  A 12oz loaf of bread will make approx 18 breadsticks.
